On completion of modules in Part 1, 2, 3, participants of the ICNE Program are expected to:

• Understand a personal computer and its components, assemble a personal computer (PC) and set up local area networks (LANs) & do the necessary tasks typically associated to the job of a hardware & networking engineer.

• Understand wireless technologies & set up wireless networks within an office using Access Points and wireless Network Interface Cards.

• Learn how voice and data communications merge in Voice-Over-IP technology

• Have the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size route and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN. CCNA curriculum includes basic mitigation of security threats, introduction to wireless networking concepts and terminology, and performance-based skills. This new CCNA curriculum also includes (but is not limited to) the use of these protocols: IP, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Serial Line Interface Protocol Frame Relay, Routing Information Protocol Version 2 (RIPv2),VLANs, Ethernet, access control lists (ACLs).

• Possess knowledge and skills required to install, configure and troubleshoot converged local and wide area networks with 100 to 500 or more nodes. With a CCNP certification, a network professional demonstrates the knowledge and skills required to manage the routers and switches that form the network core, as well as edge applications that integrate voice, wireless, and security into the network. The CCNP curriculum includes building scalable Cisco networks, Cisco multilayer switched networks, securing converged wide area networks, and optimizing converged networks.

• Possess advanced knowledge and skills required to manage service provider infrastructures. With a CCIP certification, a network professional working in a service provider organization demonstrates competencies in infrastructure IP networking solutions. The CCIP curriculum includes IP routing, IP QoS, BGP, and MPLS.

• Possess advance knowledge and skills required to integrate into underlying network architectures. Furthermore, this certification validates a robust set of skills in implementing, operating, configuring, and troubleshooting a converged IP network. With a CCVP certification, a network professional can help create a telephony solution that is transparent, scalable, and manageable. The CCVP curriculum focuses on Cisco Unified Communications Manager (formerly Unified CallManager), quality of service (QoS), gateways, gatekeepers, IP phones, voice applications, and utilities on Cisco routers and Cisco Catalyst switches.

• Possess advanced knowledge and skills required to secure Cisco networks. With a CCSP certification, a network professional demonstrates the skills required to secure and manage network infrastructures to protect productivity, mitigate threats, and reduce costs. The CCSP curriculum emphasizes Cisco Router IOS (ISR) and Catalyst Switch security features, Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA), secure VPN connectivity, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Cisco Security Agent (CSA), Security Enterprise and Device Management, Network Admission Control (NAC) as well as techniques to optimize these technologies in a single, integrated network security solution.

• To design, plan, implement and support Microsoft Windows 2003 and 2008 Networks. Server administrators are recognized among their peers and managers as leaders in the daily operations management of Windows Server Demonstrate and communicate your ability to administer Windows Server systems and increase your organization’s return on technology investment by earning the MCITP: Server Administrator certification or MCSE.
The certification can help you develop and validate your skills in your current position, or propel you toward a future role, such as:
1. Windows server administrator
2. Server systems administrator
3. Monitoring operator
4. Network administrator.
Please note that either MCSE or MCITP training will be offered as part of the course.

• Possess actual competency on live systems and be certified as a Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
Called the “crown jewel of Linux certifications,” RHCE proves an individual’s ability to configure networking services and security on servers running a Red Hat OS.

• Effectively use, customize and script a Red Hat Enterprise Linux system for common command line processes as well as use basic network utilities.
Be able to install, configure, and attach a new Red Hat Linux system to an existing production network.

• Possess a Security Administrator’s ability to maintain day-to-day operation of Check Point security solutions and ensure secure access to information across the network. Proficiencies include creating and installing security policies, using logging and reporting features, and managing anti-spoofing, Network Address Translation (NAT), and OPSEC applications.

• Be certified in the specific network security discipline of Ethical Hacking.
